The little tree: Worth Reading

The little tree: Worth Reading

something to pass your time....

I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had
just finished a rough first day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an
hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one ton truck refused
to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence.

On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the
front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the
branches with both hands.

When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned
face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave
his wife a kiss.

Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got
the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.

"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having
troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, those troubles don't belong
in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the
tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in
the morning I pick them up again."

"Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick 'em
up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

The Fern and the Bamboo.....

The Fern and the Bamboo.....

One day I decided to quit....
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality. ....
I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answersurprised me... "Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and thebamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bambooseeds, I took very good care of them.
I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered thefloor.Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.

But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed.
But I did not quit on the bamboo".

He said. "In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.

In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed.I would not quit."

He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.

It had spent the five years growing roots.
Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.
I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have beenstruggling, you have actually been growing roots?I would not quit on the bamboo.I will never quit on you.
Don't compare yourself to others."

He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern, yet, theyboth make the forest beautiful." "Your time will come, "God said to me."You will rise high!" "How high should I rise?" I asked. "How high willthe bamboo rise?" He asked in return. "As high as it can?" I questioned."Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

Never regret a day in your life.
Good days give you Happiness.
Bad days give you Experiences.
Both are essential to life.
Keep going...Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrows keep you Human,
Failures keep you Humble,
Success keeps You GlowingLove keeps you Alive,
But Only God keeps You Going!

GOD is too wise to be mistaken...
GOD is too good to be unkind...
so when you don't understand..
when you don't see HIS plan...
when you can't trace HIS hand...
HAVE FAITH AND TRUST HIS HEART!
